Suicide Prevention Lifeline

 

 

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the nation’s largest non-profit dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.

 

Evecxia therapeutics is a company founded by my former colleagues at Duke University. The company is working to develop a novel pharmacotherapy for individuals who do not respond well to standard antidepressants. Some of the research that led to the development of this new potential treatment approach was performed in academic settings (in the Caron lab at Duke) and used the same genetically modified mouse line currently being studied in the Sachs lab.
